**Finance Apprentice**

**Purpose of the role**:

- A structured apprenticeship programme with mentoring and support
- Opportunity to gain a recognised finance qualification (e.g., AAT)
- Ability to understand all areas of a finance team

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Management of the Purchase Ledger
- Posting all purchase invoices and credit notes
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Managing and preparing supplier payment runs
- Dealing with all supplier queries
- Expediting short or missing supplier deliveries with the Purchasing Department
- Producing weekly payment runs
- Reviewing supplier Non-Conformance Returns for credit notes
- Reviewing all non-manufacturing open purchase orders
- Providing cross-functional support where required
- Raising Purchase Orders and Payment Authorisations

**Person Specification**:
**Essential**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Willingness to learn and take initiative

**Desirable**:

- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above

**Reporting to**:
This role is reporting to the Finance Manager

**Working Hours**:
This is a Full-Time position working 08.30 - 17:00 Monday-Thursday, 8.30-2.30 Friday as standard.

You will be allocated time to work on your apprenticeship modules throughout the working week.

**Location**:
The role is based at our Head Office in Ashington, Northumberland
