**Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker**

**About the Direct Payment Holder**

A young lively and fun loving man who is Autistic with a mild Learning Disability is seeking a PA to support him with his daily routines, building his independence, and accompanying him on various activities.

**Hours and rate of pay hours**

10 hours per week (please see shifts below)

**Monday to Wednesday Evenings** - 45 mins to 1 hour call - support/prompting with eating and ensuring maintaining home environment.

**Thursday to Sunday**:
1 hour lunch call - support with ensuring has eaten etc.

1 hour PM call - support/prompting with eating. Additional longer care call one day a week for food shopping and supporting with prompting with cleaning and laundry. May be required extra hours for appointments or social outings.

PAYE - £15.40 per hour

Self-employed - £18.02 per hour

**DBS/Checks**

Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

**Training**

Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:

- Safeguarding Adults
- Introduction to first aid
- Health and Safety

**What you would be doing**

Duties will include:

- Reminders to eat regularly and healthy meals;
- Prompting to attend to his personal care needs (e.g., showering, laundry, shopping);
- Prompting and support with preparing meals;
- Shopping;
- Attending appointments.

**Required skills and experience**

Seeking PA(s) who have Patience, enthusiasm, and energy. Someone energetic, friendly, and has a can-do attitude who has experience working with young adults with additional needs. An individual who would like a fun and rewarding role, building a strong bond with Carlos and making a long-term positive impact on his life.

Someone with experience of working with Autistic people and people with learning disabilities. Relevant qualifications and experience to reflect this.
