Come and join us We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Gatehouse Officer to join our team in Scunthorpe.
- This post is working **a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern, working 12 hour days and nights**:

- The rate of pay is **£12.70 per hour**

**Main Responsibilities**:
As a Gatehouse Officer you will:

- Operate and monitor the gatehouse, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
- Be a first point of contact for visitors to the site
- Manage the weighbridge, accurately recording the weights of the vehicles and any other necessary information
- Conduct patrols to ensure the site is secure; appropriately addressing any security breaches
- Professionally answer any telephone calls to the site, providing assistance and redirecting enquires when required
- Conduct staff searches when necessary
- Escort staff off site when requested by their Manager
- Report any incidents, breaches or irregularities promptly to the appropriate authorities
- Ensure site/Health and Safety rules

- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to stay calm in high pressure situations
- Have high levels of attention to detail
- Be able to accurately record and document information
- Have the patience and desire to overcome language barriers
