**Job Description**:
The Head of Content Strategy is a brand-new hire to build on an existing content business function. You will be hands on with clients, creative agencies whilst building a new department. The client piece will be to direct and lead content strategy either as a stand-alone scope or to compliment the wider marketing and channel campaigns.
You need to be fluent in the world of content, its role, where it sits within the campaign lifecycle and customer journey. You will lead the content planning big idea and how that works with TTL and stand-alone campaigns.
**Responsibilities**
- Build the agency’s strategy capability internally and via agency partners
- Establishing the red thread from core proposition to content plan
- Writing a compelling articulation of the brief into content plans
- Customer journey mapping and channel planning
- Collaborate with creative teams to inspire and nurture the development of a content plan across the main pillars, hero, hub and hygiene
- Have a strong point of view on channel planning, how content ladders back up to the big idea and works with the brand
- Write inspiring creative brief across all owned, earned and paid channels.
- Lead and facilitate strategic workshops, brainstorms, briefings, and reviews.
- Guide the strategic development of junior colleagues from across the agency and partners
- Lead the development of the agency’s strategic offer
**Key skills**
**Strategic thinking**:Adept and agile in developing content strategies for a range of brief needs, organisational challenges or business problems and distilling into strategic frameworks and creative propositions.
**Insight lead**: Shape the insight requirement, mining SEO data to inform content ideas, messaging and audience profiling. Lead insights and share with the team in a compelling and inspiring manner.
**Communication skills**: communicate clearly, concisely and in a compelling way in written documents and presentations.
**Organisation**:manage time efficiently and prioritise work effectively, managing others’ expectations and meeting deadlines. Content must be agile to pace to brief and output is essential
**Leadership and management skills**:able to lead and manage project teams. Strong and inspiring agency leader
