This is a full time role which will include some weekend work.
** Main purpose and scope for the role**:

- The Maintenance assistant will provide support in all maintenance programs. They will ensure that all maintenance objectives are conducted in a respectful and responsible way, ensuring that all decisions and actions comply with the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- The Maintenance assistant is responsible for helping to support the maintenance and safe operation of the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other facility related systems.

**Other responsibilities of the role**:

- Supports and assists with emergency and planned maintenance repairs and coordinate repairs to buildings and property infrastructure.
- Assists in the regular maintenance of the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems as directed.
- Assists with landscaping and grounds maintenance.
- Assists with the safe operation of boilers, heating and ventilation systems.
- Assists with maintenance and repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring and roofing.
- Assists with maintenance and repairs to appliances and plant equipment.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
- Helps to identify areas of improvement and suggest solutions with cost analysis.
- Reporting of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
- Review work orders to ensure proper documentation.
