Lecturer - Saturday Film Club (Casual)

We are looking for a passionate lecturer to lead our Film & Screen Saturday Club.
The Film & Screen Saturday Club provides the perfect space for young people to discover the exciting opportunities across this rapidly growing sector of the UK economy. Club members have the opportunity to tell their diverse and unique stories, and to gain practical and technical insight into filming, editing, sound design, and lighting. At the Club, members embrace the art of storytelling and its ability to entertain and inform our society and culture.
As well as developing key transferable attributes such as problem-solving, persistence, and collaboration, Film&Screen Saturday Club members explore the future landscape of media outlets such as game design, radio and filmmaking.

This is a casual role however you can expect to work for approximately 2 hours per week.
**Responsibilities include**:
- To deliver teaching for Saturday Film Club.
- To devise individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with the requirements of the course.
- To be responsible to the Head of Department/Head of School for student discipline, counselling and guidance relating to all assigned classes.
- To be responsible for the supervision and management of students on placements and offsite visits and activities where appropriate.
- To act as academic and pastoral tutor to assigned students.
- To implement and promote College regulations, policies and procedures.
- To provide appropriate information to parents/employers through College reporting systems.
- To assist the Head of Department/Head of School with costings and control of materials and equipment when specified.
- To participate in the development of workshops.

**Education & Training**
- A relevant teaching qualification or working towards this qualification.
- GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

**Experience**
- Academic or industrial or commercial experience in an area relevant to the programmes.
- Ability to utilise Information Technology and Information, Learning and Technology both within learning and for administrative purposes.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience in Good teaching/training.
