**Job Title: Senior Support Worker**
**Salary: £19,890 per Annum**
**Location: Witney, Oxfordshire**
**Hours: 37.5 hours per week**
**Purpose of the role**:
We are looking for an energetic Senior Support Worker to support the Team Leader in the management of staff, volunteers, and activities of the Outdoor Wellbeing Hub to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
**Key duties and responsibilities**:
- Organise the rotation of all plants and vegetables on the site and work with the Co-ordinator
- Plan and prepare sessions appropriate to the people who use our services
- Directly deliver activities at the Outdoor Wellbeing Centre
- Work with a diverse range of service users you will ensure that care plans are met
- Carry out assessments to establish suitability of the service for potential new service users
- Review support plans or personal development plans with service users to ensure that activities are person centred
- Communicate regularly with service users and their support network, as appropriate
- Contribute to service development and growth
- Contribute to evaluation of service performance
- Deputise for the Team Leader when required to ensure adequate staff, agency and volunteer service cover on a day-to-day basis
- Maintain accurate records of attendance
- Adhere to risk assessments and carry out health & safety checks to ensure that the environment and activities are safe for all individuals
**We are looking for someone who**:
- You will have a sound knowledge of care and support issues as well as a person-centred approach to care
- Able to support a team and to work as part of a team
- Able to efficiently plan and arrange services and activities with the team
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels, with excellent verbal and written skills
- Able to be proactive, take initiative and demonstrate good problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills
- Able to maintain accurate and timely records
- Keen interest in gardening and the outdoors is a must
- Experience of planning interesting outdoor/gardening sessions and sensory and therapeutic garden spaces is desirable
- You will have a relevant horticultural qualification for example NVQ level 2/3, diploma or equivalent
