Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid Working
Our client, based in Leicester, have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
You will support the Group IT Director in the smooth day to day running of the IT infrastructure. You will report into the Group IT Director. You will act as the primary escalation point for technical queries from the service desk to assist in resolvingcustomer incidents in line with SLAs. Incident resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as providing in-person, hands-on help at desktop level Within this fast-paced environment, you will need to receive, prioritise,document and actively resolve customer requests whilst striving to deliver the highest level of customer service.
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will work collaboratively with other IT team members to create and maintain high-performance systems at large scale. You will use the right tool for the job and will take responsibility for delivering high-qualityinfrastructure on time and to spec. You will be responsible for providing 3rd line infrastructure support and projects for both their sites but mainly based in the head office in Leicester. Working within a close-knit team, Key areas will include; on-premiseand cloud support for our extensive virtualised architecture (VMWare), Networking, Active Directory, servers, DNS, DHCP, Office 365, System Center configuration manager (AutoPilot), Firewalls, PowerShell, and more.
**Required Skills**:
- 5+ years experience within industry in a similar role
- Strong experience on VMware ESXi / VMware vCenter (High Availability; Clustering; Cross-site failure and resiliency)/VSAN/DRS/VDS
- Storage (Qnap, VSAN, Netapp etc.) - On-premise and cloud configuration and support experience (AWS and Azure)
- Networking experience WAN / LAN / WLAN, specifically Aruba VRF ArubaOS Switch and ArubaOS-CX
- Firewall configuration / maintenance / Troubleshooting - advanced enterprise firewalls - Wireless - HP Procurve/Sonicwave or similar
- Backup Technologies / Veeam backup and Replication / Tape Library - Disaster Recovery Experience / Design / Implementation and maintenance
- Active Directory / servers / Office 365 / virtualisation/ Firewall / PowerShell
- Autopilot or Intune or other
- Windows/Linux Server (Implementation/troubleshooting/Patching knowledge)
- Experience working in a team with technical and non-technical colleagues
