We are currently looking for an individual to join our Kitchen Team as a Kitchen Assistant.

**Working Hours**

As a Kitchen Assistant you will be working on a shift basis according to the rota in place at the time, shifts are usually 7am - 3pm or 11am -7pm, but times may vary slightly depending on business needs. You will work 5 days a week with no Saturday working. Sunday working is required. In order to promote fairness we do ask that all of our Kitchen staff work a mix of early and late shifts, in line with the rota at the time.

We care about our people, and we believe that paying a fair wage is an extremely important part of showing that we care. The hourly pay is currently £10.90 for individuals under the age of 21 and £11.70 for over 21's, with an overtime rate of x1.5 for authorised overtime. We also offer our team a 30% discount on our products - both in our shops and via our pies by post service, a free individual pie every Friday, 5.6 weeks of holiday (BH entitlement included) which increases with length of service and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme.

The role includes the following tasks:

- Preparation and production of a range of food items (not just pies).
- Ensuring products meet the required quality standards and reporting any that do not.
- Follow all Food Safety, Health and Safety and Company Rules.
- Working closely with the drivers to load and sort products where applicable.
- Cleaning and Sanitising equipment and ensuring a clean, safe and healthy environment.
