**Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistance**:
The purpose of this role is to carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance across 6 hubs. You will also act as a key point of contact for maintenance issues across the hubs. You will manage contractor visits. You will prioritise and plan for all maintenance issues to be achieved. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with all health and safety regulations.

The role will require travel between all six hubs and may be physically demanding.
- Maintenance including painting & decorating, minor repairs, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, patchwork & other handyperson/ fabric duties.
- Work with Hub staff so that the community centres are maintained to a high standard.
- Support and assist Facilities & Customer Services Manager with maintenance administration requirements relating to the 6 Community Hubs.
- Complete all necessary planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance scheduled within agreed timescales.
- Keep accurate and up to date records of all maintenance issues.
- Responding promptly and positively to maintenance requests, assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.
- Work with all hub staff to report all maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
- Serving as point of contact to contractors attending site.
- To act as a key holder and be prepared to be called out in that capacity.
- Set up rooms at hubs for external hirers and remain on site to act as point of contact as and when required as a result of staff holiday or sickness.
- Work with the organisation and client colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
- Develop a good working relationship with client colleagues providing maintenance of behalf of Worcester City Council.
- Making recommendations relating to improvements to facilities management.
- Assisting in scheduled building checks and audits, ensuring safe and secure environments.
- Complete all mandatory online training.
- Attend additional training courses as and when necessary.
