UKCBC has recently embarked on the partnership with the University of West London to deliver a variety of academic courses.
This is an exciting time to join a growing team and we are looking for Course Coordinators who can lead and support the course and partnership expansion. We are looking for course coordinators to cover the following levels:
- Undergraduate courses
- Postgraduate courses
- Foundation courses
**About the Visiting Lecturer Role**:
As our Visiting Lecturer, you will teach a very diverse group of students and are expected to be a very strong motivator, capacity builder and enabler of the development, growth and success of each student.The student experience and engagement should bethe core element of each lecturer.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities of our Visiting Lecturer**:
- Undertaking various teaching, monitoring and assessment responsibilities as assigned by the Module Coordinators/Course Coordinators
- Maintaining attendance, continuous monitoring of progression and student assessments related records and any other academic records as required by the department
- Strictly following the code of conduct for the teaching staff
- Preparing lesson plans, scheme of work, and other relevant documents as required for each session, in advance and ensuring that the completed documents are available for access to the Module Coordinators/Course Coordinators
- Ensuring that all the relevant teaching and learning material are available on the VLE portal and if required additional material can be uploaded with the consent from the Module Coordinator at least one week before the planned delivery of the topic andcommunicate the same to the concerned students
- Participating in various academic and other meetings to facilitate academic planning, monitoring, evaluation and standardisations.Fortnightly meeting with module coordinators to discuss the class performance and preparing risk actions
**What we’re looking for in our Visiting Lecturer**:
- A relevant research degree (PhD/ DBA/ MPhil), or be working towards degree completion; OR Postgraduates preferably from UK Universities
- Having achieved the Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications as required by Pearson
- Be strongly passionate and aware of Academic Quality Standards, record keeping and student centric teaching and learning processes
- Very high level of commitment to the students and their holistic development
- Good acumen for research
- Innovative in using teaching methods and supporting student’s development
- Result oriented, passionate to excel and improving performance
- A lifelong learner
