**Warehouse Operative - Pick and Packer**

**Location **This role is based in our office in Five Oak Green, Tonbridge, Kent

**Salary and work pattern. **Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications for the role. You will be guaranteed 22.5 hours per week. Shift times available 16:00-20:30hrs Monday - Friday

**Job Type. **Part time, permanent

**The role**

As Goods Out Operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks.

Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize PDA scanners to efficiently locate and pick items from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately pack and label products for shipment, ensuring compliance with packaging standards.
- Load and unload vans with precision, optimizing space and securing items for safe transportation.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the accuracy and condition of picked and packed items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues.
- Adhere to inventory control procedures and report discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the ongoing improvement of warehouse processes for increased efficiency

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar pick and pack role within a warehouse setting.
- Proficient use of PDA scanners and other relevant technology.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and labeling.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Forklift license desirable.

Loading and unloading skills

High and unpredictable workload - a flexible attitude is required.

This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to work closely with the warehouse team. There will be manual lifting involved in picking, packing, and loading of van. We will ask you to always reflect the company’s values.
