**The challenge**

As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide support to the Finance Team and assist with a wide range of projects and tasks within the finance function. This will suit an experienced individual or someone looking to develop their career. This is an exciting time to join the team as we are always looking to develop and improve our team members and finance function.

**The day-to-day**
- Posting cash receipts and assisting with bank reconciliations
- Set up new AP and AR accounts on multiple systems
- AP PO matching
- AP payment runs - reconciling and producing payment reports
- Dealing with queries with sites and suppliers
- AP Statement reconciliations
- AR support coverage dealing with queries and customer account reconciliations
- Assisting in implementing additional technology/ system features across the finance function
- Hitting weekly and month-end deadlines.

**To succeed, you’ll need**
- To be an efficient, and accurate Accounts Assistant with keen attention to detail
- To have experience in AP and AR ledger functions with double entry understanding.
- To embrace and be able to meet finance deadlines
- To have excellent organisation and time management skills, being able to prioritise your own workload and respond to competing priorities.
- To have the ability and motivation to work on your own initiative and operate with colleagues across multiple departments and sites.
- To have a positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to take on new skills and adopt new approaches, developing both yourself and others around you.
- To have competency in Microsoft Excel.
- To embrace a continuous improvement mindset
- To enjoy working in a dynamic and busy office
- To enjoy being part of an efficient team.

**You’ll really hit the ground running if you have.**
- Previous experience in commercial vehicles and the vehicle rentals industry
- Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics GP

RH Commercial Vehicles has over 40 years’ of experience in the commercial vehicles market and is one of the largest independent Renault Truck dealers in the UK. We operate from six sites in the East Midlands. We are a large team of proud professionals who are dedicated to delivering a fast and dedicated service that customers can depend on.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be working from our Head Office in Nottingham.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £24,000.00 per year
