**NATIONAL RAW MATERIALS PLANNER - Shepshed / Work From Home**
**Full Time (37.5 hrs), Permanent**

**What is the role of National Raw Materials Planner at ForFarmers?**
The team identify, plan, order and receive Raw Materials to satisfy demand of raw materials on site...driven by transport and production plans whilst adhering to Inventory, manufacturing and logistics targets.

You will be part of this team, managing at the lowest cost distribution of raw materials to ForFarmers’ sites.

**Key responsibilities and duties of the role include**:

- Logistics & Planning: _
- Ensure that Raw Material supply contracts are used correctly ensuring continuity of supply and quantity to meet plant demand.
- Monitor the planning and progress of Raw Material orders ensuring loads arrive at mills on time. Identify Raw Material shortages and inform the Raw Materials Manager.
- Confirm progress of Raw Materials orders to ensure that loads arrive at mills on time. Use SAP to optimise allocations of Raw Material on a national basis.
- Process purchase requisitions created by Mill Planners into purchase orders.
- Storage & Haulage: _
- Ensure rent and storage costs are kept to a minimum.
- Liaise with storekeepers to ensure satisfactory storage and collection of raw materials and maintain contact with third party hauliers.
- Assist in the auditing of suppliers/hauliers/stores.
- Contract Admin: _
- Ensure contracts are administered correctly and closed down when completed or extended.
- Collect analysis rebates where applicable and resolve internal and external queries.
- Where quality is below contractual, ensure claims are made/received for the lower quality raw materials.

**To be successful in this role, you will ideally have**:

- Planning experience in transport/storage/production
- Computer literate - use of Logistics planning systems advantageous.
- Analytical mind. Logical and numerate.
- Good communicator, persuasive and a team player
- Able to, on occasion, visit other sites
