Fertility Ultra-sonographer

We are looking to recruit a talented and dynamic ultrasonographer.

The post holder will play a key role in providing the ultrasound scanning service ensuring the highest possible technical and professional standards are achieved and maintained. The scanning provided by the centre includes baseline gynaecology scanning to assess for pelvic pathology, follicle tracking for ovulation induction and superovulation for IVF, assessment of tubal patency by Hystero-Contrast Sonography (HyCoSy), early pregnancy scanning and assessment of fibroids. It is expected that the post-holder will be dynamic with excellent communication skills and be able to communicate the results of scans to patients sensitively and with empathy.

He or she will be expected to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions.

We are a close-knit and supportive team of over 50 staff, with a focus on patient care, research and innovation. Our main clinic is in Southampton with satellite clinics in Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

We offer patients a wide range of services such as Semen Analysis, fertility check-ups, IVF, IUI, egg sharing, donor programme, frozen embryo transfers amongst many more treatments and services, we also have our own in-house counselling service which can be offered to patients. Our team works with patients to develop a personal conception plan, using the most advanced, proven techniques available.

Although currently based at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton the clinic is relocating in the summer to Chandlers Ford within easy reach of local motorway networks, trainline and bus routes. Situated on the south coast of England, we are 1.5 hours by train to central London, with the New Forest, the ancient cities of Winchester and Salisbury and golden beaches of Bournemouth right on our doorstep. Local airports fly to destinations all over the UK and Europe - a perfect position to explore.
