**Overview**
Our Director of Operations, Toni Turton, started work here as the Personal Assistant (PA) to the Managing Director. Now she gets her own PA. Could you be our next Toni?
We require a highly trustworthy, competent and motivated PA to work with our Director of Operations at our town centre office, West Riding House, 6-8 Commercial Street, Castleford, WF10 1DG. We want a responsible person with a positive mindset, an outstanding work ethic and a can-do attitude who will be an excellent timekeeper, maintain an excellent attendance record, and fully commit to the role. **Duties**
- Manage and organise schedules, appointments, and meetings for team members.
- Meeting preparation.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process high-value transactions with consistent 100% accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with clerical duties including filing.
- Preparing high quality letters, documents, and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring effective communication across departments.
**Experience**
- You must have experience in financial services, ideally in pensions and investments, and ideally be at least part qualified towards your Level 4 Diploma with the CII, CISI or LIBF.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
With 600 clients and £130m under management, we have a busy office with nearly all new clients coming by referral from existing satisfied clients. Attention to detail and accuracy are of paramount importance. We pride ourselves on delivering the best advice and service obtainable anywhere, regardless of the firm size. The position is 100% office based.
You must have the ability and motivation to self-manage. We do not like to have to micro-manage people, and nobody in their right mind enjoys being micro-managed. We need people who we can trust to get on with the job.
Experience in financial services, specifically in pensions and investments, is essential, and you must have excellent abilities in written English and mathematics. Specifically, you need excellent spelling, to be able to write grammatically correct letters and to have a wide vocabulary. Whilst you will not need to be conversant with more technical aspects of maths (we do not have much use for logarithms, tangents and the Pythagoras theorem) you **do** need to be totally confident at using and converting fractions, percentages and decimals.
The salary is up to £35,000 depending on your qualifications and experience, plus an annual bonus that has averaged around 15% for many years. We also pay 9% of your basic salary into your pension with no contribution required from you. Based on recent bonus averages, the package is realistically worth in the order of £44,000 if we continue to perform at current levels. Hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Holidays are 29 days including statutory, rising thereafter according to length of service.
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
