**The Role**:Responsible for efficiently and effectively recycling of waste materials. Loading and unloading vehicles, sorting, and processing of materials arriving and departing the MRF. Daily inspection of plant machine prior to use to make/ensure safe and compliant. Sorting of the production cycle of recycling operations of the Materials Recycling Facility. Ensuring Health, Safety and environmental compliance, whilst delivering and maintaining first class customer service pre-defined business KPI’s

**Main Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Loading/unloading vehicles, Balers, Sales vehicles to include containers and curtain sided vehicles in a quick safe turnaround timely manner
- Ensuring all areas of site are clean, tidy, and free from obstructions as possible and that during plant downtime cleaning in your designated place especially the sales area so manager can have access to view sales stock at all times.
- All recyclable materials tipped on site such as cardboard, polythene, wood, paper’s plastics and metal etc are taken to the correct areas to ensure that picking/sorting specified materials are in line with Company processing guidelines.
- Report any plant issues, downtime, and key performance information to MRF Supervisor or site manager.
- Safe operation of Plant always and demonstrate knowledge of carrying out daily checks and general maintenance of all plant you are trained on.
- Take responsibility for dressing all bales for sale and remove contamination where needed and also to give site manager accurate stock takes of all baled and loose material every morning Mon - Fri.
- Maintaining fluid levels of Plant Machinery always - Fuel, Water, Oils etc.
- Ensure understanding of the expectations of using and maintaining systems for use of Plant Machinery.
- Jet washing Plant Machinery down by operating a jet washer weekly along with general yard cleanliness - full training given
- Identify and address problems and opportunities in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance to quality procedures and standards and to operating instructions
- Ensure that you are achieving set rate targets.
- Share and transfer knowledge to the team.
- Ensure that all toolbox talks or team briefs are taken on-board and adhered to.
- Communicate ideas and key points/issues to Manager/supervisor
- Ensure production and that products meet agreed specifications escalating issues to Manager/Supervisor
- Address any queries, problems and anomalies and proactively respond to changing conditions and requirements
- Embrace change and challenge within the work place, demonstrate and encourage adaptability, providing positive solutions and minimising disruption
- Proactively establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships. With a positive can do attitude
- Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others.
- Participate in HSE audits and take ownership when required of work area, plant machinery, self and others around you
- Maintain good housekeeping, a healthy and safe work environment and the safe use of equipment and machinery
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ensure all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures
- Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,230.00-£24,804.00 per year
