The Microsoft Cloud for Industry team is looking for a passionate cloud specialist, who loves to learn, thrives collaborating with Program Managers, Software Engineers both at Microsoft and at our Industry ISVs and System Integrators to accelerate the adoption of our Industry differentiated cloud products, services, and capabilities in the Energy Industry.

**Responsibilities**:
The Industry Cloud Specialist plays a critical role in building a vibrant Partner Ecosystem, onboarding and optimizing our Industry differentiated cloud products, services, and capabilities with Industry ISVs and System Integrators.

The Industry Cloud Specialist will use a combination of direct technical knowledge, program-management skills, and evangelism strategies to empower ISVs and System Integrators, driving adoption and solving for specific needs while building assets to progressively increase scale by developing a programmatic approach for the Industry Ecosystem.

The Industry Cloud Specialist:

- Is a technical expert on our Industry differentiated cloud products, services, and capabilities
- Understands partners’ strategy and desired outcomes
- Is a Trusted Advisor who develops and expands existing relationships
- Collaborates alongside with Partners’ technical team and Microsoft’s PMs/ Engineers, living our leadership principles by creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success
- Leverages and champions an existing architecture approach to achieve Microsoft's agreed commitments to the customer/partner. Identifies growth opportunities based on knowledge of customer/partner needs
- Applies broad technical knowledge across various architecture solutions to meet business and information technology (IT) requirements and resolve identified technical constraints
- Leads customer/partner projects that implement technical architecture(s). Provides thought leadership for technical architecture design, development, and deployment and supports/drives the customer/partner throughout pre-sales and/or implementation
- Identifies, escalates, and works to resolve technical blockers (e.g., changing configurations, sample coding) to accelerate architecture implementations and routes non-technical issues for removal by the appropriate party
- Respectfully challenges customers/partners when going in the wrong direction and escalates appropriately
- Understands the competitor's architecture solutions and identifies Microsoft's strengths over competitive solutions to drive conversations with customers/partners and convince them of solution
- Establishes and maintains governance structures over adoption programs
- Is a Voice of Customer/Partner to share insights and best practices
- Capture and share Technical Insights that can improve our products
- Works with Customers/Partners on Proof of Concepts scenarios
- Generates new ideas for changes and improvements to existing intellectual property (IP), technologies, and processes for designated customers/partners. drives opportunities for IP re-use, best practice sharing, and consumption.
- Builds reusable artifacts (decks, notes, recordings, webcasts, etc.) to scale partner awareness and readiness
- Timely communicates product technical plans and roadmap to partners

**Qualifications**:**
Required/Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND demonstrable experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
