**Job Description**:
We are recruiting for an individual with mechanical engineering and installation/construction experience to support our long-held NEC Supervisor Framework with Welsh Water.
You will be working with our multi-disciplinary team of Engineers and Supervisors to provide quality assurance across the entirety of Welsh Water’s Capital Delivery programme.
Projects include the construction and upgrade of water and wastewater treatment plants, water and sewerage networks, and reservoir and dam infrastructure. You will have a keen interest in assuring the highest quality workmanship, from design through to handover.

**You will**:
- Have a proactive engagement on schemes to aid prevention, management and mitigation of quality issues including defects.
- Monitor the construction and installation of the works to confirm that it is compliant with the Works Information.
- Liaise with all project parties including Contractor, Welsh Water Project Manager and Welsh Water Operations teams to aid successful delivery of the schemes.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the project team to maintain AECOM’s high standards of service.
- Work with AECOM and Welsh Water colleagues to provide meaningful knowledge-sharing and maximise the impact of ‘lessons learnt’.
- Prepare reports regarding site activities and provision of data relating to delivered quality.
- Be a senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
**Qualifications**:
**We are looking for you to**:
- Have relevant experience of working as a NEC Supervisor, Resident Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar within a regulated-industry environment, preferably the water industry.
- Hold demonstrable experience of overseeing or reviewing the quality of fabricated and installed elements of work.
- Have an understanding of constructability and operability requirements within design.
- Proven experience of developing good working relationship with colleagues, clients, contractors, key stakeholders and the supply chain.
- Have the ability to deliver project work to programme, cost and quality requirements.
- Have the ability to take full responsibility for producing, checking and approving technical deliverables
