Senior Care Assistant

The **Senior Care Assistant **will report to the Deputy Manager, be responsible for all aspects of physical and emotional care, and provide team leadership, including staff supervision and training. The role will also involve providing close liaison with professional agents.
We seek a well-organised adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately, with a proven ability to lead and supervise others and provide good care and understanding. You're trained to administer medication and contribute to, monitor, and implement changes that improve residents' outcomes.

Duties will include:
- To take responsibility for the home and ensure it meets company objectives without the Care Manager.
- To administer and record medication as required following the Medication Policy.
- To give a daily report to the person in charge at the end of each shift concerning the care delivered to the residents, noting any changes.
- To maintain liaison with professionals in a multi-agency approach.
- To provide supervision and support to the staff team.
- To participate in planning care programmes and prepare care review reports.
- To assess the care practice of all staff, ensuring the objectives of the home are met.
- To supervise and be involved in all aspects of the holistic care of the resident group.
- To maintain administration and monitoring systems that comply with legal requirements.
- To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- To work flexible hours to meet the needs of the home.
- To attend staff training courses and meetings.
The successful Senior Care Assistant will have:
- Medication Experience and all the relevant qualifications
- Demonstrate Leadership Skills
- Flexibility in shift patterns
- NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: £432.36 per week
Expected hours: No more than 36 per week
