Joiner/carpenter

Duties:

- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications
- Assemble and join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
- Install doors, windows, and other fixtures
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts
- Install cabinets, shelves, and other built-in furniture
- Construct and install frameworks, including walls and partitions
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client requirements
- Ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a joiner or carpenter preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, and planes
- Knowledge of different joinery techniques and methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
- Familiarity with electrical work, masonry, roofing, or painting is a plus

**Skills**:

- Proficient in plumb joinery techniques for accurate alignment
- Knowledge of masonry work for integrating joinery with brickwork or stonework
- Carpentry skills for constructing wooden structures and fittings
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience in assembling components to create finished products
- Basic electrical knowledge for installing lighting fixtures or outlets if required
- Familiarity with roof construction for integrating joinery with roofing materials
- Ability to fabricate custom pieces based on design specifications
- Knowledge of painting techniques for finishing joinery work
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for cutting, shaping, and joining materials

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship, Internship
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
