Robertson Bell are partnering with this large organsiation whilst they recruit to a Senior Financial Accountant vacancy. Leading a team of five this role will oversee yearly reporting and will act as the main point of contact for external auditors. Dutiesfor this role will include:

- Coordinate the production of year-end accounts including the production of primary statements.
- Contribute towards financial strategies working closely with senior management.
- Ensure potential risks related to key capital projects are mitigated.
- Oversee the closure of accounts ensuring accurate information is recorded at all times.
- Create and roll out financial training to the wider organisation.
- Oversee the fixed asset register and all treasury management matters.
- Handle complex queries related to VAT and technical accounting matters.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of changes in accounting standards and legislation.
- Review the organisations medium and long-term forecasting.

This Senior Financial Accountant is a broad and challenging role which contributes hugely to the overall performance and success of the finance department. This role would officially be based from the organisations head office in Basingstoke with hybridworking on offer. Staff management and previous local authority experience would be highly desirable but is not essential in order to be considered.

- Have a passion for driving efficiencies.
