15 hours per week

Mondays and Friday 09:00 - 17:00

£10:54 - £11:03 per hour (depending upon experience)

We'd love you to join us at our Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent, CQC Outstanding Hospice.

We are looking for a Creative Arts and Diversional Therapies Coordinator to be responsible for assessing service user needs, planning appropriate activities and ensuring the activities promote independence and quality of life. The role will also consist of the coordination of a small team of volunteers. This role covers inpatients and outpatient groups.

Sue Ryder is a national charity that supports people with life-limiting and neurological conditions and those who have been bereaved.

In West Berkshire Sue Ryder provides multi professional palliative care in inpatient, community and day attender settings.

About the Role:
You would encourage and support people in creative art work and provide opportunities for people to learn new skills. You will also help patients prepare letters and memory boxes for loved ones. You will be an energetic member of our multi professional team.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar role/environment. It would be desirable to have some experience of working with volunteers and volunteer training.

You must hold full a UK Driving Licence with access to a car as you will be travelling between Reading and Thatcham.
