You may come from a Physics, Computer Science or Engineering background, but must possess excellent problem-solving skills as well as open-mindedness and interdisciplinary thinking.

The Company focus at present is on the engineering design problem of electric motors, an increasingly vital technology; however the creativity and techniques employed to solve this problem can be applied to other challenges such as clean energy generation,manufacturing and robotics.

**The Research Software Development Engineer will bring**:

- Minimum of a 1st/2.1 Degree, with a relevant Masters / PhD beneficial.
- 2+ years professional experience developing software in C++ and/or Python.
- Knowledge of parallelization techniques and frameworks such as MPI.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Excellent problem solving abilities.
- Experience developing software simulators (physics engines, scientific simulators).
- Experience with FEM solvers such as Elmer, OpenFOAM.
- Linux scripting experience.
- Scientific computation.
- GPGPU programming.
