**Trailer Fitter / HGV Trailer Technician/ Mechanic**

**Job Location: Birkenhead**

**Salary**:£13.50 - £14.00 dependent on experience,**

**Position**:Full-time, Permanent**

**The Client**:
Our client are a large independent commercial vehicle maintenance provider. They are one-stop solution for all transport & fleet requirements specialising in Truck & Trailer Maintenance, Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop, Service Contracts, 24hr Breakdown Service,DVSA ATF, Brake Testing, and Trailer Sales.

**The Role**:
They are looking for **Trailer Fitters **to join their successful team at their fast-paced trailer refurbishment & repairs centres in Birkenhead. Your work mainly involves repair, maintenance of variety of HGV vehicles in a small but busy workshop,

**Duties**:

- Carry out general servicing & inspections
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to depot procedures
- Complete job sheets as required
- Complete preventative maintenance
- MOT preparation
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety standards

**Requirements**:

- Experienced Trailer Fitter / HGV Trailer Technician, Mechanic
- Time served / NVQ / City - Guilds 1,2 - 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications
- Technical background /experience in HGV Trailer repairs
- Experience of breakdowns and on site clinics would be advantageous.
- Would consider an Improver for this role
- HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential.

**Schedule**:

- 08:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday, 47.5hrs, 30 mins unpaid lunch break,
- Alternate Saturdays required, classed as overtime.
