**So what’s the role all about?**
As a Neighbourhood Coordinator, specialising in our Home Moves team, you will coordinate the delivery of high quality management of tenured accommodation in the Borough of Elmbridge on behalf of PA Housing, Elmbridge Borough Council and EBC Homes.
When you're not out and about at onsite visits, this role can offer hybrid working, meaning you will be working a mix of office/home working. However, we may need you to be in the office more within your probation, whilst you get up to speed.
**Some of the key tasks and responsibilities include**:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of temporary accommodation, including short stay and market and affordable rented accommodation, delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring appropriate visits are conducted and schemes inspections carried out on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance
- Work closely with colleagues in the Neighbourhoods and Estates Teams to ensure all customers are receiving a consistent service and contracts are managed effectively
- To complete inventories for properties where required, ensuring that the customer adheres to the terms and conditions of the tenancy or licence agreement.
- Carry out stock inventories to ensure units are let with the required prescribed items. Re-order where necessary
- Work closely with colleagues from Elmbridge Borough Council to ensure effective liaison around short notice allocations
- To enforce the terms and conditions of the tenancy or licence agreement and request removal of occupants where necessary
- On occasion to be responsible for the administration around accommodation bookings and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed regarding any housing related benefit claims
- To assist on occasion in carrying out daily visits to occupants of units to ensure adherence to tenancy or licence agreement
**To be successful in this role, we’d be looking for the following**
- Experience in the social housing environment
- Knowledge in landlord / tenant and property management legislation and established good practice in relation to licence agreements and assure shorthold tenancies
- Experience working in partnership with colleagues and external agencies
- Experience producing detailed, timely and accurate numeric and written information to a consistently high level
- Skills in communicating effectively in all mediums and dealing with difficult situations through negotiation and diplomacy
- Knowledge in using housing management IT systems to record and maintain information
- Knowledge in relevant Landlord, Tenant Law and Practice, Welfare Benefits and funding for social housing
