As a Children’s Support Worker, you will be helping vulnerable children who have experienced abuse, trauma, and neglect from trusted adults in their lives. You will be supporting within residential and semi-independent living settings, helping children to flourish and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities as a support worker will include: - Helping to teach daily skills and creating routine. - Creating a safe and stable environment. - Providing emotional and practical support. - Ensuring all care-plans and are accurate and up to date. - Helping to work through times of crisis with therapy-based support - MANTRA, CBT, and direct key work sessions. - Helping support social activities and positive integration both inside and outside of the home. What we are looking for in our support workers: - We are looking for children’s support workers with a kind, caring and empathetic nature, you must be passionate about making a difference to the lives of the children you are supporting. You must have had at least six months experience as a children’s support worker previously, and we will support your development with any additional training and experience required to progress your social care career. - You must be self-motivated and reliable. - Drivers are essential. - A satisfactory enhanced DBS and Adults Barred List check is required for this role in the UK.
