Both full and part time hours will be considered. As an innovative service, we offer the opportunity to offer a hybrid of community and remote working to fit around the service and your home life.
The Steps 2 Wellbeing service prides itself on being innovative and is passionate about development. We promote opportunities for career development and ongoing professional development including training in Long Term Health Conditions, supervisor training and support staff to progress into High Intensity CBT training.
We welcome informal enquiries and informal visits are also welcomed.
The post holder will work with clients who have a range of mild-moderate Anxiety and Depression related problems for which low intensity CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. To provide evidence based psychological interventions to clients; providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues and to other, non professional carers, working under supervision within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
Applicants need to be proficient in the delivery of CBT based guided self-help interventions and have experience of working with common mental health problems in a primary care setting. A Post Graduate Certificate in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is also essential.
Southampton has vacancies for both CORE and LTHC trained practitioners, and as part of an integrated service you will employ your clinical CBT skills to allow people to move forward on their journey. There will be opportunities for all staff to complete their Long-Term Health Conditions training. Good administrative, time management and communication skills are also essential. Experience of working within the NHS or similar organisation is highly desirable.
