**Job Title**: Food & Beverage Supervisor
**Reporting to**: F&B Manager
**Purpose of Role**
To assist the Food & Beverage Manager with the running of your department. To ensure that your department delivers a high quality service to the customers maximising on all sales opportunities. By providing support and guidance you will ensure delivery of great customer service at best possible cost within brand guidelines and satisfying legal requirements.

- Enjoy working and dealing with the public and being part of a team.
- Confident, pleasant and an excellent articulate communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous when dealing with difficult situations.
- Must be efficient, organised and self motivated.
- Have a good personal standard projecting a professional image at all times.
Your key tasks reflect your contribution to our four core objectives; which are people, customer, profit and sales.
**Computer skills**: Must be IT literate.
**Key Responsibilities**
**People**
- Complete a service briefing at the beginning of each shift and a handover at the end of each shift
- Assist with the motivation, Learning & Development of all team members through daily and weekly communication and regular job chats with all members of the team
- Build productive working relationships with guests and staff through maintaining a high profile within the workplace
- Responsible for the team and guests in the absence of the department Manager
- Ensure clear and accurate communication between departments to allow all requests to be met on time and to the expected standard.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the department.
- In line with function sheets assist & co-ordinate the team tasks on a daily & weekly basis, so that all guest requirements are met to the required standard and on time.
- Create a supportive, fun and creative working environment developing talent and demanding a quality and standard driven approach throughout each and every member of the team
- Ensure that all team members are wearing the appropriate clothing for their role and maintain a high standard of personal grooming
- Ensure all legislative training is adhered to and carried out effectively and efficiently.
**Customer**
- To promote a helpful and professional image to the customer, giving full co-operation to any customer requiring attention
- To attend to customer queries and enquiries in a caring and helpful manner and with a commitment to dealing with the issue in a positive way
- To anticipate customer needs whenever possible to enhance the quality of service offered by the Venue, to ensure customer loyalty is maintained
- To ensure the customer is treated correctly, first time, every time
- Ensure all customers receive a warm welcome first time every time
- Handle guest queries and complaints and take the appropriate action to ensure total guest satisfaction is achieved. Communicate any problems to senior management, and liaise with them with complaints beyond your control
- Carry out Duty Management shifts if and when required
**Profit**
- To assist in the achieving of weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and targets within the department
- Assist with the management and control of all stocks and assets to minimise the risk of damage or loss, protecting assets and margins whilst controlling the employee rota according to fluctuating business levels.
- To exceed the departmental profit targets whilst returning investment at the appropriate rate.
- To be familiar with and promote other hotels within the group
**Sales**
- Assist with the implementation of incentive programmes with the team, in line with achieving targeted sales.
- Ensure that your profit centre is operated in line with driving revenue, EBITDA and incremental conversion whilst delivering the Brand experience
- Take an active role both overall and on property with the preparation of the budgets and plans for your department
- Assist with managing costs based on the budgeted P&L figures and development plans
- Ensure tight management of all operational sales underpinned with strong controls
- Through all interactions drive top-line sales whilst maintaining a strong focus on the cost base
- Maximise employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial budgets and targets of the property and therefore the business - whilst ensuring that customers are wowed and receive fantastic service
**Statutory Responsibilities**
To ensure all Team Members within the F&B department observe all Fire, Health & Safety & Food Safety Regulations attending any training sessions necessary to keep them updated on new legislation and ensuring compliance with all current legal requirements. To be aware of your responsibilities in accordance with the company Health & Safety procedures.
