**The Role**

Working as part of the Pharma Services Business Unit, the post holder’s objective to provide technical leadership and coaching for Senior Analysts, Analysts and Technicians and enable the delivery of complex projects.

They will execute, delegate and monitor the progress of work to GMP and regulatory requirements on a daily basis to ensure schedules/project timelines are met and to provide regular updates to the Team Leader & Group Leader.

They will take full ownership for the analytical activities required as part of their assigned projects. Identifying technical problems/issues, developing solutions and fully implementing these solutions with agreement from their line manager/departmental manager where appropriate.

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience of leading analytical development activities in support of Pharmaceutical development projects.
- Significant experience of:

- HPLC Analysis
- HPLC method Development
- HPLC method Validation
- TOC Analysis

**Desirable Criteria**
- (The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)_
- MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in a Chemistry or Life Science with a significant chemistry component
- Experience of using statistical data analysis techniques
