A dynamic, family owned business in Blackpool are looking to strengthen their finance function by recruiting a new Assistant Management Accountant.
Established for 100+ years, this business is very well recognised in the local area and in the sector in which they operate. After a very successful 12-18 months, turnover now reaches approximately £35m with further growth forecasted.
This newly created position is well suited to a CIMA or ACCA studier seeking a varied role which offers many business facing elements and project involvement to compliment their studies. Career progression will be available in line with succession planningand ongoing company growth and success.

Your New Role as Assistant Management Accountant:
As Assistant Management Accountant, you will report to a hands on Financial Controller who will provide sufficient levels of support. Specific duties will include:

- Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Support with production of budgets and forecasts
- Support with year end requirements
- Monitor and review job costing and project budgets
- Managing various small projects to review and enhance operational processes
- Stock management including stock reconciliation and adjustments
- Business partnering with Heads of Departments to provide financial insight on cost control and expected spend
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you will be already well established in an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant position and be keen to learn and further develop within finance. Ideally you will be studying ACCA or CIMA or be AAT qualified and interested to further study.A full study package will be provided including a dedicated mentor, time off for study and exams as well as costs being covered. Strong Excel skills are essential including knowledge of pivot tables and VLookups as you will be required to work across variousspreadsheets, handling and manipulating large and complex data sets. Knowledge of the Access Dimensions system is desirable but not essential. You will be a confident communicator as this role incorporates many business partnering elements and you will bea key player in various projects which require working cross-functionally with various non-finance staff.

To summarise, this is a hands on finance role with many business facing elements. You will receive sufficient levels of support from the FC to enable a smooth transition into your new role, with ongoing support to enable career and skills development.
