We're seeking dedicated individuals to join a bespoke **24-hour double-up care team** for a remarkable young adult in **Leicestershire**.

This is more than just a care role; it's an enablement-focused position supporting a young man with a busy and active life. Living in a beautiful family home with **a converted part of the house** dedicated to him, he's non-verbal but communicates effectively and enjoys a full schedule including school twice a week and various day placements.

We're building a consistent and reliable team, and we're delighted that three current carers will be transferring across to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care.

**The Role: Supporting a Young Man's Active Life with 24/7 Support**

This is a **24-hour care package** requiring two carers on duty at all times, supporting this young man in all aspects of his daily life. We're looking for carers to work **12-hour shifts, either days or sleeping nights**.
- **Double-Up Support**: You'll be working as part of a two-person team to provide comprehensive care and support throughout your shift.
- **Enablement Focused**: Support this young man to live his life to the fullest, fostering independence and engagement in his chosen activities. This is about enabling a young adult to continue enjoying a full and active life.
- **Specialist Care**: Confidently manage a **stoma, catheter, and perform regular suctioning**. Training for a standing frame (physio-led) will be provided.
- **Dynamic Support**: Provide two-to-one support for all activities, including day outings and sleeping nights. Be prepared for potential waking nights at short notice, as needed.
- **Team Collaboration**: Carers will be expected to use the established care planning system already in place.
- **Professional Boundaries**: Carers will work exclusively within the converted part of the house, respecting the family's privacy.
- **Essential Skills**: One carer must be a confident driver. A good sense of humour is a must to connect with this young man

**Who We're Looking For**

- Highly experienced in complex care, particularly with stoma, catheter, and suctioning.
- Confident, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a **double-up team**.
- Patient, empathetic, and possess a strong commitment to person-centred care, especially with **young adults**.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing needs within a 24-hour care setting.
- A good sense of humour is essential to build rapport and make every day enjoyable.
