As a **Senior** **Care Assistant in our Etheldred House Care Home in Histon, Cambridge, **you will be part of a supportive and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support to people living in the care homes. You will make a difference every day by engaging in meaningful activities with the people living in the care homes as well as promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect always.

If you’ve had 3 years’ experience as a Care Assistant or previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant along with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 and you're looking for a change, then **Etheldred House Care Home** could be the place for you.

We provide support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. - **Salary: £12.40p/h to £13.00 p/h depending on experience and qualifications (*this includes a non-contractual Market Supplement Allowance of £1 per hour)**:

- **Day or night shifts available from 8am - 8pm/8pm-8am, Monday - Sunday. You must be able to work alternate weekends**

**The role of a Senior Care Assistant**
- To lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants
- Take a proactive role throughout the home to always drive excellent care practice
- Work closely with the Home Manager, Ancillary teams, and other Senior Care Assistants.
- You and your team will be responsible for meeting the day-to-day needs of the people we care for as delivering exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do.
- You will also be responsible for the completion of person-centred care plans along with the necessary risk assessments and documents to ensure we are delivering a high standard of care - personalised to each individual person.
- You will be an enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individual - passionate about what we do.
- You will make a difference every day by engaging in meaningful activities with residents as well as promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times

**About you**:
You should have previous experience in Dementia and Elderly care and/or NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
