**Salary**: Ranging from £28,000 to £30,000

ACS (Analytical Construction Services) offers quality material testing and consultancy services predominantly aimed at the building, construction and civil engineering industries. Over the past 35 years, ACS have steadily expanded and developed, now providing a comprehensive range of UKAS accredited sampling, site testing and laboratory testing. Our seamless all-in-one service includes physical and chemical laboratory testing, site investigation and testing, and geoscience and materials management consultancy.

**Please note that this position may require Saturday work on occasion.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out a range of testing on various construction materials, including aggregates and soils, bituminous materials, and fresh and hardened concrete;
- Ensuring all testing is in line with British and European standards;
- Maintaining strict Quality and Health and Safety requirements;
- Liaising with Laboratory team, Laboratory manager and other ACS staff;
- Checking testing results to ensure there are no irregularities;
- Ensuring equipment is well maintained, calibrated and in good working order;
- Supervising laboratory, admin, site, and collection driver staff based within your team (including day to day supervision, training, onboarding, performance management and organisation of the team and work);
- Monitor testing activities and sample transfer to ensure turn around times are met and results are accurate;
- Involvement in our UKAS assessment visits.

**Job Requirements**:

- Computer literate to facilitate the input of data;
- Minimum GCSE English and Maths, or similar related qualifications;
- Good organisational, time keeping and communication skills.
- Laboratory experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Supervisory experience
- Understanding and/or experience in a UKAS accredited laboratory

**Salary**: Ranging from £28,000 to £30,000 per year
