What will my role look like?
Our Transport Manager is looking for a reliable and hardworking Drivers Mate to accompany our experienced Delivery Drivers in providing excellent customer service to our retail shops & wholesale customers
As a Drivers Mate your working day begins between 02.00am-03.00am - you start your early morning shift at our bakery by shadowing your Driver’s stock checks and loading your vehicle with Cooplands products. Once this is complete, it is time to hit the road You will travel along a structured route delivering products to our retail destinations, after your delivery drops are complete, you will head back to the bakery and prepare your vehicle for the following day.
This is a full-time 40 hours permanent opportunity with guaranteed contracted hours inclusive of 45 minute paid breaks. We operate on a 7-week rolling shift pattern (including weekends), so you can enjoy a healthy work/life balance knowing your guaranteed shift patterns in advance.
Due to the role being physically demanding with repetitive heavy lifting, we are looking for a physically fit individual who enjoys early mornings and working in a routine driven fast-paced environment.
Full UK driving licence
Physically fit with the ability to handle repetitive heavy lifting
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Available for early morning starts between 02.00am-03.00am
Previous experience as a Drivers Mate or similar customer service role
