**Protecting businesses. Empowering people. Making cyber security achievable. Cyber security shouldn’t be complicated. You’ll help make it clear — and achievable — for businesses that need it most.**
That’s what you’ll do here as a Cyber Essentials Assessor.
You’ll be the person clients rely on to guide them through Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus — not just to ‘pass the test’, but to understand their risks and make their businesses more resilient.
Your days will be varied: scoping and planning assessments, reviewing evidence, advising on remediation, carrying out technical evaluations (remote and on-site), and staying on top of emerging cyber risks.
If you’re passionate about helping SMEs improve their security posture — and want a role where your knowledge makes a real difference — we’d love to hear from you.
**About us**
We believe cyber security shouldn’t be something businesses fear — it should be something that empowers them.
We’re a UK-based cyber security company helping organisations build resilience and stay secure in a fast-changing world. We work with clients across a wide range of industries, delivering practical, effective security solutions they can trust.
A big part of what we do is helping businesses achieve Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification — not just for compliance, but to genuinely strengthen their defences and give them peace of mind.
As we continue to expand our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) offering, there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Running Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus audits and assessments
- Working with client stakeholders to scope, plan and deliver those assessments
- Reviewing evidence and giving clear, practical feedback — no vague reports
- Carrying out remote and/or on-site technical checks to CE+ standards
- Staying up to date with IASME scheme changes and current cyber risks
- Providing objective, thorough advice — and great service — to every client
This is your role to shape. We’re looking for someone who wants to take ownership, set the direction, and make it their own. If you're up for the challenge — you'll have our full backing.
**What you’ll need**
**Essential**:
- Experience running multiple Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
- Ability to juggle several assessments at once
- Hands-on technical testing experience (patching checks, config reviews, endpoint assessments)
- Good understanding of UK cyber compliance and best practices
- Strong communication skills — with both technical and non-technical people
- Current (or recently held and ready to renew) IASME Assessor certification (Cyber Essentials)
**Nice to have**:
- Experience with penetration testing, risk frameworks or ISO 27001
- Knowledge or qualifications in one or more of:
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
- CISMP
- NIST frameworks
- SOC 2 compliance
- DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)
**What’s in it for you**
You’ll be joining a growing cyber security business where you can make a real difference. This isn’t a corporate giant and you’ll have the flexibility and freedom to do your job well — and the support to keep developing your skills.
**We offer**
- A key role in the delivery team — with the chance to help shape how we work and grow
- Training and certs — cloud, security, whatever helps you do the job better
- Competitive salary
- Work from home options
- Free parking / on-site parking when needed
- Cycle to work scheme
- Casual dress — we care what you do, not what you wear
- Monday to Friday, standard working hours (no crazy shifts, no on-call)
**Sound like you?**
If it doesn’t — no worries. Thanks for reading this far.
Note: We are unable to sponsor work visas. No agencies please.
**Benefits**:
- Casual dress
- Company events
- Cycle to work scheme
- Free parking
- On-site parking
- Transport links
- Work from home
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
