**Education Support Officer**
**Main purpose**
To support the Director of Education to secure outstanding education provision for the Trust’s academies. To actively promote a positive, forward looking and results orientated focused culture.
To support the Education team in securing effective systems and practices across the Trust and to support members of the Education Team to manage their busy working week effectively, by anticipating needs, thinking critically and offering solutions to problems.
To work collaboratively with Trust colleagues and build effective relationships with senior and middle leaders and contacts external to the Trust.
**Duties and responsibilities**
**Development and management of the Education Team functions**
- Support with the development and continuous improvement of core processes across the Trust.
- Ensure the provision of agile and swiftly delivered services to schools in collaboration with other Trust central teams.
- Ensure the provision of services across multiple sites, supporting colleagues in maximising the collective opportunity for shared efficiencies whilst ensuring a relevant and fit for purpose service.
- As directed, work on projects from start to finish. Managing time and tasks effectively with conflicting priorities for resources
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve key relationships.
- Support the Education Team to provide strong support for schools, including maintaining training log and providing effective sources for identified training needs.
- Support the Education Team to review and standardise annual requirements such as policies and statutory documents.
- Support with the administration of the Trust’s ITT and ECT programme to assist in the smooth running of the Trust’s Institute.
- Undertake the support functions required in the central office environment. This will include significant self-direction to complete tasks, research projects, and first-point liaison duties for and on behalf of the Education Team or function leads.
- Use data analysis, evaluation and reporting systems to produce materials such as presentations, briefing notes, responses and communications for a range of stakeholders.
- Be well prepared for and attend some school and other off-site based meetings to support work across the Trust.
- Provide administrative support for the Education Team including the preparation of reports, minutes, document sets and other preparatory work to ensure that colleagues are equipped to carry out their role effectively.
- Deal confidentially and sensitively with communications.
- Research, preparation and collation of papers for meetings. Attend and minute meetings and record actions with the end view of producing accurate and comprehensive notes to support the Education Team.
**Central Trust Support**
- Monitor & Administer the central Training Calendar to support training needs across the Trust.
- To work with other colleagues in the central support team responding to general enquiries.
- Act as a point of contact/emergency or cover contact for internal and external communications as required.
- Provide assistance to members of the Central Team as required. For example, supporting the Executive Leadership Team both in the production of documents, keeping of records and organising meetings across the Trust with Trust colleagues, external agencies and educational professionals.
- Be able to manage and administer bookings and house-keeping for meetings or internal/external events attended and/or organised by members of the Executive Leadership Team.
- Work as part of a team in a fast paced and changing environment.

- To take an active and positive role in the Trust’s commitment to the development of staff and review procedures, undertaking training as required.
- To act in a professional way that is consistent with the values and expectations of the Trust.
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £25,979.00-£27,803.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 per week
