The psychology team are excited to advertise a full time assistant psychologist position within the multi-disciplinary and multi-agency Family Safeguarding Service in Lancashire. You will work closely with the psychologists and MDT and there will be lots of opportunities for assessment, formulation, intervention, service evaluation and service development within the role. We are looking for an organised, compassionate, and reflective individual who is passionate about working collaboratively with families to safeguard children. The aim is to provide families with the right support at the right time so they can remain together safely.

The location for this role is flexible, depending on where the post holder wishes to be based.

Key aspects of the role will include assisting the Clinical Psychologists with:

- Cognitive and mental health screening assessments (of parents)
- Consultations to multi-disciplinary team colleagues
- 1:1 and group psychological interventions (of parents)
- Service evaluation and audit
- Attending group/team meetings and group supervision
- Training, workshops and dissemination of psychological skills and knowledge

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
