Urban Planters - Accounts Payable Clerk
Key Information
This role comes with a basic salary of up to £26,000 per annum

We now have a carbon negative business who’s teams install planting in, on and around the buildings of the companies we partner with. We are happiest while we are landscaping, installing indoor planting schemes or maintaining the plants or grounds of our clients.

**Permanent**: A full time role, working Monday to Friday (37.5 hrs week)

**Location**: Join the team based at our Waverton Office.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be required to support our Finance team
with;
- Accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices.
- Ensure that costs are accurately recorded into the finance system, with correct
- coding, currency, VAT, supplier data.
- Ensure internal and external queries are resolved effectively via telephone and
- Processing of payments (BACs, CHAPS, cheques, direct debits).
- Conduct regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any differences.
- Resolve significant issues (e.g., final demand letters) promptly.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers/internal stakeholders and
- help manage their expectations.
- Escalate invoice authorisation according to the authority matrix.
- Support the management accountant as needs arise and take on ad hoc projects as needed to support the department.

**Requirements**:
**Essential Job Requirements**:

- Knowledge of accounts payable, maintaining general ledgers, VAT.
- Experience working within the Accounts payable function.
- Deliver to strict guidelines and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst meeting deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills including Word/Excel.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
- Good spoken & written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Show passion with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Passion for initiating and facilitating continuous improvement.
