**Team Leader - WHSmith - Luton Airport**

Contract Type - Permanent
- Contracted Hours - 39 hours per week
- Team Leaders working hours will be offered between Monday to Sunday, between 3.00am and 12am.- £21,500 to £23,000 DOE
- 5.6 weeks annual leave

Airport Requirements:

- 5 years continuous references (professional/educational) to gain an Airside Airport Security Pass

**Team Leader introduction**:
To support the Store Manager to create an environment that focuses on the customers whilst inspiring the team to achieve brilliant results.**Role of a Team Leader**:

- Act on the daily store review and ensure relevant store standards checks are carried out and any necessary action taken
- Motivate & coach the team to deliver individual and store targets, including average transaction value and add on sales
- People management including training and development
- Dealing with customer enquires
- Stock management including promotions and on-shelf availability
- Implement the company security policy to reduce shrink and losses
- Work with the management team to guarantee staff availability on the shop floor through coordinating your team's rotas and attendance
- Follow company policies and procedures relating to cash, stock and HR
- Ensure store is fully compliant with pricing, promotions, legislation and Health and Safety
- Duty manage the store in the Store Manager’s absence

**Who we’re looking for**:

- Previous experience of leading and motivating a team
- Proven experience of working to and achieving challenging sales targets
- Previous experience of working in a customer focused retail environment
- Strong communication skills
- An understanding of the performance management process
