**Is an Apprenticeship right for you?**

To help you decide if an apprenticeship is right for you, we have outlined the main eligibility criteria below.
- Most of our apprenticeships are open to anyone at school leaving age and there’s no upper age limit. **Please note that for safety critical roles the minimum age will be higher.**:

- You must not already be in full time education at the point of the apprenticeship start date.

**Apprenticeship role responsibilities**

We are recruiting a Stores and Materials Apprentice to join our Stores and Materials Team at our Canton Maintenance Depot.

This is an exciting opportunity during which you will undertake a 2-year defined programme to contribute to the development and delivery of comprehensive stores control and management.
- You’ll shadow and support our stores and materials team by undertaking tasks such as material issuing, stock control, housekeeping duties and stock movement including goods inwards and outwards over 2 years to develop the required knowledge and skills to safely carry out a stores and materials role.
- You’ll develop and deliver a personal project by combining academic and practical learning and by using TfW resources to contribute to your personal development and to TfW.
- You’ll keep abreast of learning opportunities by following TfW’s apprenticeship programme and taking advantage of on-the-job training to ensure you develop and can effectively contribute to TfW projects.
- You’ll communicate and follow up with internal and external project stakeholders by providing timely updates to them to keep those involved with the project aware of progress.

**You will also have**

GCSEs including Maths and English - or equivalent qualifications.
