Spire Yale hospital are now recruiting a Bank Perioperative Practitioner - Scrub & SFA to join their warm and friendly bank team.
The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Assist in scrubbing for consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism, General Surgery, ENT, to name a few.
- You will assess patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks, and their well-being.
**Who we are looking for**:
- Qualified ODP/Scrub Nurse
- HCPC/NMC registered with no restrictions on your pin.
- General Surgery Surgical First Assistant experience is essential / Urology and ENT is desirable
- At least 2 years scrub experience
- Surgical First Assistant Qualification
- Have been employed in a surgical/Theatre setting.
- You will be highly motivated and used to working in a challenging but rewarding environment.
