Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Solutions Architect with experience in the warehouse management system space to be responsible for the implementation of solutions and software functionality that meet the varying needs of our customers. This is a full-time,permanent role, working Monday to Friday.
Contractually based at either our head office in Northampton or Manchester, but with the opportunity for hybrid working, you’ll play a key part in the leadership and design of complex technical projects, defining and challenging requirements to ensure thatsolutions are aligned with needs.
**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £80,000 per annum, plus company car/car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday pay (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts,as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
**What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- Lead the delivery of complex client technical projects, building senior client relationships through high quality delivery work
- Support the wider team with solutions design via training, mentoring and guidance on complex project deliverables, including but not limited to development support across multiple technologies/solutions
- Design high quality end-to-end solutions to meet the client’s business needs both now and in the future by ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, are scalable, are resilient and are secure
- Ensure WMS builds meet business requirements and ensure build quality, capacity, performance and growth requirements have all been accounted for and delivered
**What you need to succeed at GXO**:
- Experience with WMS, database and development technologies (specifically Blue Yonder Dispatcher, Oracle, PL/SQL, Java, Pro*C and scripting)
- Knowledge of systems integration strategies, including but not limited to SOAP, Restful, TCP, JSON, XML, CSV, sFTP and message queues
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues
