My client works within Electronic Instrument Design sector, and they are looking to take on a **Service and Repair Technician**
**The Service and Repair Technician will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagnose faults and rework by hand, including SMT
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for electronics
- High level of numeracy
- Experienced with Microsoft Office tools
- Able to understand test methods and fixtures
- HNC / HND / Degree in Electronics

**The Service and Repair Technicianrole will involve**:

- All fault data is logged onto the relevant database and the Technician assists in collating and presenting the information gathered.
- Provide first-level support to the production cells where test equipment is suspected to be faulty.
- Gain an excellent knowledge of various product lines and be competent to diagnose and repair without supervision.
- Be competent in handling direct customer communications.
- May be assigned additional projects and responsibilities at the sole discretion of the Production Supervisor
