**About the role**

We're excited to be looking for a
** Technical Standards Lead **to join our
**Assessment Design **team.

As a Technical Standards Lead you will work in the Assessment Design and Production function, which is responsible for the design and production of assessments across all of NCFE’s qualifications, including all standard-setting activity. In this role, you will work alongside the Technical Standards Manager to support with the technical aspects of all grading and standard-setting activity across the function and the wider business.

**In this role you'll be responsible for**:

- Working with operational teams and awarding committees to present relevant statistical and technical information and support with its use and interpretation within awarding contexts
- Supporting operational teams with the analysis of assessment functioning data to facilitate the ongoing monitoring of live assessment performance and continuous improvement in assessment production
- Working with data teams to develop efficient reporting mechanisms that facilitate the production of key statistical information required for awarding activities
- Supporting the Assessment Design team in the creation of assessment strategies and associated documentation pertaining specifically to grading/aggregation mechanisms and standard setting/maintenance activities.

**We would love to hear from you if you hold the following key skills**:

- Significant experience of working with externally set and marked assessments
- Knowledge and experience of grading and standard setting procedures and issues within an educational context and of key assessment functioning statistics and their relevance in practical contexts
- Ability to manage time, workload effectively in order to meet deadlines and turn data and information into insight
- Excellent report writing, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong analytical skills.
