We’re recruiting

Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and create a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible.

We know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people won’t be heard about the support they’d like. Some won’t get to decide what they do for work. Or how to spend or save their money. Many won't get to try out the new hobbies they’d love to try.

**But you can change all that.**

Join our growing team in **Harwell,** Oxfordshire, and get all the training you need to become a confident Support Worker.

Do you feel like our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive and Visionary - are a good match to your values? Then we’ve got lots in common already. Come on board and support learning disabled adults with those very values to develop skills, achieve their life goals and thrive in your community.

What we offer you
- Where you’ll be working: Harwell, Oxfordshire.
- Your salary: £11.74 per hour.
- Your working hours: Monday-Friday 9am-4.30pm
- Generous Holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including eight days statutory bank holidays).
- Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.
- Training & development: Earn money while you get a fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Lots of benefits: Health, retail and cash incentives to use how you want.

What you’ll be doing

The people we support have complex needs, and you will be expected to assist in the following:
Manual Handling - This includes supporting with hoists and wheelchairs.

Full + Intimate Personal Care - Assisting people in using the toilet, bathing, and dressing.

Supporting people with late stage Dementia diagnoses, people with Epilepsy and people that have high physical and sensory needs. You will also be supporting people that have Dysphagia and physical impairments.

Supporting people in eating and drinking, all aspects of home security, finances, housekeeping, and any healthcare needs i.e. taking medication.

Supporting people to go out into the community. This may include: Searching for and creating fun things for people to do, using both public transport (Buses) and the car/s to travel into the community; and walking to planned activities and events.

The support that you will provide may vary depending of the needs of the individuals. We are looking for staff that are committed to working shifts that may be both physically and mentally challenging, due to the complex needs of the people that you will be supporting.

**Public transport to our service here is limited, therefore, a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.**

We can’t wait to meet you at our Oxfordshire services
