Who are we looking for?

The college is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to work as part of a large team of LSAs supporting learners across our faculties of Skills for Life, Alternative Pathways and Creative and Service industries. This role is managed directly by our Lead LSA/TA which is overseen by Head of SEND Support.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- To carry out facilitation of learning contributing significantly to the growth of provision curriculum and providing a diverse range of development opportunities for learners
- To develop learner experience within a variety of different settings
- Contribute to the planning and daily routine of the learners.
- Prepare learning resources to use within enrichment activities and sessions.
- Build relationships, plan, develop and maintain the employment and work experience activities for all foundation learners.
- To ensure high standards of physical, emotional social, and intellectual care for all learners

The successful applicant will need to have experience of working with and leading small groups of children/young adults. It is essential to have experience in teaching, facilitating, assessing, or instructing learning and experience of working in a SEN setting would be highly advantageous.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

Desirable but not mandatory, hold Mental Health First Aider/Level 3 First Aid at Work and ELSA Qualification or willingness to work towards

Please note: we are able to offer flexible working hours per week, this can be further explored during the interview.
