**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Same Day Emergency Care Unit at Rochdale Infirmary.

The SDEC Unit is a fast-paced environment receiving over 25 referrals a day. Patients attending the unit receive a medical assessment and treatment plan with the objective of this being completed within the same day and preventing a hospital admission. The unit has 13 assessment rooms with a focus on delivering a high standard of care to all our patients.

We would expect you to have good time keeping skills, be able to work well in a team but also be able to use your own initiative and deliver excellent patient focused care.

**Main duties of the job**:

- To undertake the role of assisting in the delivery of all aspects of care to ensure patient centred care is delivered safely and in a timely manner.
- To provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the unit at all times.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care and enable patients to achieve all aspect of daily living.
