Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Cash Risk Management and Securities Services (SS) Risk Management teams are part of Transaction Services Risk Management (TSRM), which consist of a core group of 2nd line professional risk managers who develop, designand implement holistic risk management strategies for the entire TTS Cash and SS businesses. This encompasses credit and intra-day exposures, and other risks such as product, operational, market, liquidity, and franchise risk that impact the TTS and SS businesses.TTS and SS Risk Management partners with other Risk Management teams, Operations, Technology, Compliance and Legal to mitigate P&L impacts to TTS and SS businesses. **Role description** 'TSRM Digital Assets Risk Manager' is a newly created role to enable TTS and SS Risk teams to effectively challenge fast paced product innovation efforts by the business, especially in the rapidly evolving Payments and Digital Assets space. This role will havea dual reporting line to the Global Heads of Securities Services Risk Management and TTS Cash Risk Management, within TSRM. **Key Responsibilities** **Business Engagement**: - Leading TSRM's engagement with business product innovation in the Digital Payments and Assets domains and providing the appropriate levels of review and challenge across the entire life cycle of product development, commercialization, and servicing. **Product / Thought Leadership**: - Actively engaging with the business and other Risk teams in dimensioning risks in the business' digital assets landscape and assisting in developing governance and controls - Disseminating knowledge and coaching other risk managers in this rapidly evolving area by leveraging first-hand knowledge and experience gained in an industry leading institution - Providing best in class risk input at deal reviews, "Solution and Initiative Risk Reviews" (SIRR), "Global Product Committees" (GPC) and other pre-NPAC (New Product Approval Committee) discussions to provide product risk challenge on solutions and products **Underwriting Guidance / Leadership in Governance Forums**: - Coordinating with credit risk management teams (for Corporates, Financial Institutions and Remedial Credit Management) to ensure a well-informed, holistic credit view is taken of these new initiatives - Assessing and improving Product Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC) in response to emerging risks as new products continue to be developed. - Acting as the lead risk assessor with a broad product risk view in New Product Approval Committee meetings and post implementation reviews and providing necessary approvals and escalations as necessary, focusing on Digital product and service offering **Skills, Experience and Education**: - Product, Operational or Credit risk management experience, ideally gained in a FinTech setting, with excellent understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of new and emerging digital Offerings to the extent these contribute to overall risk profile ofthe product - A very good understanding or working knowledge of new technologies and technology processes such as Blockchain, OCR, Robotics, Machine Learning, Tokenization and API as well as an understanding of industry trends and marketplace/competitors' products andservices - An excellent knowledge of payment and custody regulations and clearing & settlement processes at market infrastructure and participant level, including in emerging areas such as CBDC, RLN or Digitalization of Custody - Ability to understand and navigate interaction of various Citi functions such as Technology, Operations, and Finance in order effectively challenge risks of the product offerings holistically. - Experience in senior level discussions with Business partners - Superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to think critically and analytically. - Self-starter with the ability to work independently and across teams to accomplish goals in a timely manner. - University degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science required. **Developmental Value** Unique opportunity to gain insight into the world's leading transaction services businesses, competing in a fast-moving, innovative, and competitive environment, with an evolving regulatory landscape. -------------------------------------------- - **Job Family Group**: Risk Management ------------------------------------------------ - **Job Family**: Credit & Portfolio Risk Management ----------------------------------------------------- - **Time Type**: Full time ----------------------------------------------------- - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
