We are currently looking for a Criminology Graduate for a Teaching Assistant role in a secondary school in Bath. Why a Criminology graduate? Let me explain.

Historically, we have had many graduates who have thrived in this Teaching Assistant role over the years and one of the most successful has been Criminology Graduates. This is because Criminology Graduates tend to have an understanding of behaviours, particularlychallenging ones and are able to react accordingly when situations arise. This is NOT an SEMH school or PRU but a mainstream school, where behaviour isn't an issue. That said, there are pockets of behaviour and working 1:1 means you need to have good behaviourmanagement. You don't need the experience as you will be guided but you need the confidence to set boundaries and set expectations with students.

To be able to apply, you must have either a Criminology, Psychology or Sociology degree and ideally have worked with children, or adults with special needs. However, this is not essential.

The role is as follows:

- Full-time - Mon to Fri, 8:30 to 3:30 pm
- Bath location
- For two terms with the opportunity to go permanent
- 1st September start but will be recruiting for January start too
- £70 per day
